PRAHRAN - COMING SOON!!!
MALE TO MALE MASSAGE FAQ
The key point to keep in mind during a men’s massage session is that it’s entirely focused on you! Below are some frequently asked questions regarding male to male massage.
FAQ Male to Male Massage Melbourne (Boronia & Prahran)
Can I arrive to my massage appointment early?
Yes, we have a small waiting area at both our Boronia 3155 (behind Boronia Mall) and Prahran 3181 (opposite Prahran Market) locations, so you are welcome to arrive about 10 minutes early.
Arriving a little early gives you time to unwind, enjoy a cup of tea, use the toilet, and settle in so your male to male massage Melbourne session can start without rush or stress.
What is your zero tolerance policy?
We are a gay‑friendly and straight‑friendly male massage Melbourne spa, and we treat every client with respect and courtesy.
Any behaviour (verbal or physical) that makes our therapists feel unsafe, threatened, harassed, or disrespected is not accepted and may result in your session being stopped and future bookings refused.
What should I expect during my first massage visit?
On your first visit, your male therapist may ask you to complete a brief client history form and will discuss what you want from your session – remedial, relaxation, or a sensual male to male massage experience.
Please mention any health conditions, injuries, medications, or allergies so we can adapt your treatment safely and choose the right oils or lotions for you
Do I have to cover myself with a sheet or towel?
You can undress to the level you feel comfortable with, including being completely naked if you prefer – this is a non‑judgemental, safe space for men clients.
We will drape and cover you appropriately during the session to keep you warm and comfortable, only uncovering the area being worked on and never exposing any area without your consent.
What do I do during a massage treatment?
Just make yourself comfortable on the table – your male therapist will guide you if he needs you to change position.
You can close your eyes and relax in silence or chat if that helps you unwind; this is your time, so please ask questions or give feedback at any point during your male massage near me session.
How long will a massage treatment last?
We offer a range of session lengths: 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 120, and 150 minutes, depending on how deeply you want to relax or how much bodywork you need.
For most clients, we recommend a 90‑minute male to male massage Melbourne session as it allows enough time for both focused remedial work and deep relaxation
Will the massage hurt?
This depends on the style (relaxation, deep tissue, remedial) and how firm you ask your therapist to work.
You may feel a “good pain” as tight muscles release, but it should never feel sharp or unbearable – always tell your therapist if you need lighter or deeper pressure.
How often should I get a massage?
Frequency is personal, but for ongoing stress, training, or tension, we generally recommend a massage every 1–2 weeks.
Once your main issues improve, you can move to a maintenance schedule such as every 3–4 weeks, which you can discuss with your male massage Melbourne therapist after your treatment
If I want a really firm massage should I see a male massage therapist?
Many clients feel that male therapists often work more firmly, but the most important thing is the individual therapist’s style, not just gender.
If you want a strong, deep massage, simply let us know when booking or at the start of your session so we can match pressure to your preference and adjust throughout.
Can I talk during my massage session?
Yes, you can talk if it helps you relax, or stay quiet and let your mind drift – both are perfectly okay. The only “must” is to speak up if you feel any discomfort, need more or less pressure, feel too warm or cold, or want to adjust anything in the room.
Do I have to listen to relaxation or spa music?
We usually play calm, relaxing music to help you drop into your body during your male to male massage. If you prefer different music or no music, you are welcome to ask – if it helps you relax at home, it can work well in your session too.
How will I feel after my massage treatment?
Most clients feel deeply relaxed, more grounded in their bodies, and often notice less pain and tension.
After a firm or remedial session you may feel slightly sore the next day, similar to a good workout, so we recommend a warm shower and drinking extra water to support recovery.
How many sessions will I need?
Everybody is different; some people feel a big change after one session, while others need a series of treatments to reach their goals.
You can discuss a plan with your therapist after your first appointment to decide how many sessions and how often is best for you.
When should I not get a massage?
You should avoid booking a massage if you have a fever, cold/flu, or any contagious skin infection.
If you have conditions like arthritis, osteoporosis, recent injuries, cuts, or burns, your male therapist will adapt techniques or avoid certain areas, and in some cases a doctor’s approval may be recommended.
What if I fall asleep during my massage?
Falling asleep is very common, especially when you are exhausted or much stressed.
It is a sign that you feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable during your male massage near me session – your therapist will simply continue working and gently wake you at the end if needed.
What if the massage wasn’t quite what I wanted?
Each therapist has their own style, pace, and touch, so sometimes it takes a session or two to find the right fit for you
We encourage you to give honest feedback during and after your session so we can adjust, and once you find a therapist you love, you are welcome to request him for future bookings.
Can I claim health fund rebates?
At this time, TMS – The Male Therapist Massage l Prahran & Boronia does not offer private health fund rebates for massage.
Most Australians with private health insurance may still receive a government rebate on their premiums, but it does not apply directly to treatments with us.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24‑hour cancellation policy.
If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not show up, a cancellation fee up to the full price of your booked service may apply, as our time and room are reserved especially for you.
What is included in the session time?
Your session time includes a short check‑in with your therapist, time to undress and dress, and your hands‑on massage.
Each visit, we quickly review your needs so that every male to male massage Melbourne appointment is customised to what your body and mind need that day.
How much should I tip?
Tipping is not compulsory in Australia, and you should only tip if you genuinely want to.
If you feel your therapist delivered an excellent male massage Melbourne experience, you may choose to tip in the same way you would in a restaurant, as a sign of appreciation.
Do I need to bring anything to my massage?
You do not need to bring anything special – we provide towels, oils, and everything required for your session.
Just arrive a little early, switch off your phone if you can, and allow yourself to relax and enjoy this stress‑free time for your body and mind.
